This Is A Song ~ Carmel heard this song by Cher on Good Morning America one morning and said that we just had do a dance to the song "Song For The Lonely", which we did and premiered it at Cool Country 5 in Laughlin on March 9, 2002.

Don't Want Much  ~ This dance was choreographed by Carmel to the song "More Of Your Love" by The Derailers. The music has a Two-Step rhythm to it. It was taught for the first time at the Palm Springs Line Dance Festival on Feb 10, 2002 in Palm Springs, Ca.

Livin' It Up ~ This dance was choreographed by both Carmel and Ernie while vacationing on the Kona coast of Hawaii. The song is "Living It Down" by Delbert McClinton. It was taught for the first time at the Palm Springs Line Dance Festival Feb. 10, 2002 in Palm Springs, CA.

It Never Rains ~ Carmel has always liked the song "It Never Rains In Southern California" and she finally decided to choreograph a dance to it and premier it at the Aloha Line Dance Experience II in Hawaii where there were about 75 dancers from Southern California.

Days Of America ~ When Hutch heard this song he felt that he had to do a dance to it. It is a 32 count two wall dance done to :Days Of America" by Blackhawk. the dance was premiered at The Hangover Ball on Jan 5, 2002 in Benicia, CA.

Things'll Be All Right ~  this dance was created to compete in New Line Dance Choreography at Jamboree BC on Nov 17, 2001 hosted by Bill Bader in Tssawessen BC, Canada where it tied for 3rd place.

  Let's Talk

Rolling Mist  ~ Carmel learned of the song "Mull of Kintyre" by Paul McCartney and Wings while watching a biography of Paul McCartney. She suggest to Ernie that he do a waltz to it. He debueted Rolling Mist at the Redwood Coast Line Dance Festival in August of 2001.

@The Hop!  ~ This is Carmel’s latest dance. She debuted it at the Cascade Ridge Line Dance Festival held in Kennewick, Washington in August of this year and a week later at the Redwood Coast Line Dance Festival. It’s done to the 50’s song "At The Hop" by Danny & The Juniors. It’s an easy dance to learn and remember and the music makes you want to get up and dance.

Jive Talkin'  ~ This is Ernie’s first phrased dance. Again, the music, "Jive Talkin" by the Bee Gees was suggested by a fellow dancer. The unusual thing about this dance is that Section B consists of four patterns of seven.

Jose & Rosie ~ The cha cha, "She Drinks Tequila" by Lorrie Morgan and Sammy Kershaw, calls for a 68 count dance, and the four extra steps that Ernie added fit the music well.

Rhythm & Blues  ~ When Carmel heard the song for this dance, "A Shot Of Rhythm & Blues" by Van Morrision and Linda Gail Lewis, she immediately knew she wanted to do a dance to it. It’s slow and sultry, with a rock and roll feel.

Real Fine Day  ~ The music for our dance, "Fine Day" by Rolf Harris comes from Australia. It’s very fast and bouncy, but the dance is not difficult.

I Love You This is our first 8 & 1 Cha Cha done to "Something Stupid" by The Mavericks & Trisha Yearwood.

Spirit in the Sky ~ Hutch’s one-wall dance done to "Spirit In The Sky" by Norman Greenbaum, on too many movie sound tracks to mention, is a very smooth flowing dance that feels good to do.

Time in a Bottle ~ This was Carmel’s first attempt at a waltz. It’s done to Jim Croce’s "Time In A Bottle" and is a fast waltz, like Once Upon A December.

No Way Pedro!  ~ We did this dance to the east coast swing temp song "No Way Pedro" by Van Morrison and Linda Gail Lewis. Linda Gail Lewis is Jerry Lee Lewis’ sister and her piano playing style is very similar to his, making for a great song.

Happy Together  ~ Carmel happened to hear "Happy Together" by The Turtles on the radio one day and it reminded her of how much she liked the song and how it made her feel like dancing. The music is so feel good, she tried to give the steps the same light-hearted feeling.

Let It Be ~ This is the first night-club two-step line dance we ever did. The music, "I’d Love You To Want Me" by Lobo is a beautiful song from the 70’s.

Rose Colored Glasses ~ Ernie choreographed this waltz without having a particular piece of music in mind. Carmel remembered "Rose Colored Glasses" by John Conlee from way back and suggested he try it. He did, and it fit the dance perfectly.

Louisiana Bound ~ Carmel’s dance done to the song of the same name by Crosscut and Wayne Toups, placed first at Pismo Beach 2000 new line dance choreography.

Hold On ~ This is Ernie’s dance done to "A Matter Of Time" by Jason Sellers. It’s a slow east coast swing tempo.

Smoke Rings  ~ This is line dance that can also be done as a partner dance to the beautiful "Smoke Rings In The Dark" by Gary Allen

Do The Walk! ~ Friends heard the song "Walk Of Life" by Dire Straits on the radio one night and told us they would love to dance to it, and that we should write a dance it...so we did. It’s a very dramatic song and we like to think the dance fits it well.

Under My Skin  ~ Ernie’s dance is done to the west coast swing song "Rub It In" by Matt King, which is a country western remake of a 50’s rock and roll tune.

Runaway ~ This dance by Carmel is done to another remake of the 50’s song, "Runaway" by Gary Allen. It’s an easy, free-flowing dance and people love to sing along with the music as they dance. Some like to do it contra.

I Ain't Missin' You ~ Carmel wrote this cha cha to the remake of "I Ain’t Missin’ You" by Brooks & Dunn.

Makin' Lotsa Noise  ~ Ernie’s upbeat dance done to the polka tempo song, "X-Files" by the Bellamy Brothers placed second in People’s Choice new choreography competition at the 2000 Mother Lode Line Dance Festival in Sonora.

The Cowboy Cumbia ~ 'Cumbia' is a Latin-American music genre (like Salsa or Merengue) that originated in Columbia with heavy Mexican influences. Popular 'cumbian' dance bands fuse Mexican and Caribbean rhythms using the organ as well as bongo drums, steel guitar and guacharacas to create their unique sound. Try this dance 'cumbian' style with lots of hip movement (i.e. in the paddle turn)!

I  Can Help ~ This was Carmel’s entry in new line dance choreography at Jamboree B.C. in November of 1999. It’s done to "I Can Help" by Jo-El Sonnier, another remake of an older song.

Canada Dry ~ Ernie wrote this dance specifically for choreography competition at Jamboree B.C. 1999. It’s a bouncy dance done to "Drink Canada Dry" by David Allen Coe.

Dance Away The Night Line ~ Ernie heard the beautiful ballad "Perfect World" by Philip Claypool and said "we have to do a dance to this". This is another of our dances that can be done both as a line and a partner dance.
      Partner version

C'est La Vie  ~ Carmel’s dance of the same name placed 5th in new line dance choreography at Golden Gate Classic in 1999. The song is done by Jo-El Sonnier and both the song and the dance have a definite

|
The Darlene ~ Ernie wrote and dedicated this cha cha done to "Darlene" by T. Graham Brown to our dear friend Darlene Clark. We’re happy to say she’s likes her dance.

Hooked On Love  ~ Done to "Strange Weakness" by the Bellamy Brothers, Ernie’s dance fits the reggae feeling of the music very we

Hotel California  ~ This is Carmel’s very slow cha cha done to "Hotel California" by The Eagles.

America  ~ This is Ernie’s dance done to "America" by Neil Diamond on the Sound Track of The Jazz Singer. He debuted it at our annual 4th of July Dance and it has become a classic 4th of July dance.

Best Friends ~ "The Puppy" song is from the sound track of "You’ve Got Mail". We saw the movie but didn’t notice the song. Dancer friends did, and told us we had to do a dance to this song because it was so cute. We did, and it has been very well received.

You & Me  ~ Carmel’s dance done to "We’re Here To Stay" by Jo-El Sonnier placed 2nd at the 1999 Mother Lode Line Dance Festival in the people’s choice new line dance choreography competition. The song is a fast with a Cajun beat.

Wasn't That A Party ~ Ernie has always loved the song "Wasn’t That A Party" by the Irish Rovers but he couldn’t find the music until we made a trip to Canada. This dance placed 1st in people’s choice new line dance choreography competition at the Mother Lode Line Dance Festival 1999. When we DJ a dance, this is the last dance we play.

Husbands & Wives Line - This is the first waltz we wrote together and again, we were inspired by the music, "Husbands and Wives" by Brooks & Dunn. After it was written we decided to make it a partner dance also, so that couples and line dances could do it simultaneously
       Partner version

Every Step You Take ~ Carmel was inspired to do this dance when Tammy Wynette and Sting redid "Every Breath You Take", as it was always a favorite of her’s. This dance is still a favorite of many even though it’s been around for awhile.

East Coast Stroll ~ This dance has east coast swing and stroll steps in it and is done to "The Way She’s Lookin" by the Raybon Brothers.

Tequila Time ~ This was Ernie’s first award-winning dance. It placed third in new line dance choreography at Desert Sands Line Dance Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada in November of 1998. It is a cha cha done to "More Than A Margarita" by Brooks & Dunn.

Hesitation Waltz ~ This waltz is Ernie’s first waltz and it gets it’s name because of the hesitation steps throughout the dance. The recommended music is the beautiful "I Still Believe" by Lee Greenwood.

Pony Shuffle  ~ As is the case with many of our dances the music, "Southern Streamline" by John Fogerty, was recommended to us. This dance has pony steps, paddle turns, and shuffles and is very upbeat.

First Dance  ~ This is the second dance we choreographed together, again as a teaching tool for our students. We incorporated as many basic line dance steps in this dance. The preferred music for this dance is "Time Marches" On by Tracy Lawrence.

Carmel Cha Cha  ~ This is the first dance we ever choreographed. We wanted a dance to use as an introduction to the Tush Push, since that’s the dance beginners always want to learn first and it’s not an easy dance for raw beginners to learn. We made the last twelve counts basically the same as the last twelve counts of the Tush Push, so that by the time we taught the Tush Push, they already knew the last twelve counts. Any cha cha will work with this dance.
